Curtis Lehmann, Ph.D. offers consulting services on suicide prevention. With advanced knowledge of suicide assessment, interventions, and policy, he can provide your organization with training or tools to aid in responding compassionately and effectively to individuals dealing with suicidal crises. 

Consulting services provided:

• Gatekeeper training. Dr. Lehmann is a certified QPR trainer, an evidence-based intervention to equip lay persons to 1) Question – ask about suicide, 2) Persuade – encourage to seek professional help, and 3) Refer – aid in finding treatment providers. 
• Basic or Customized Suicide Protocols (mental health professionals and organizations). Suicide protocols provide reasonable procedures on suicide assessment, intervention, and referral for your organization. Dr. Lehmann can provide a basic suicide protocol (best for small practices) or a customized protocol (best for larger organizations or those specializing in suicide prevention) to suit your needs. Virtual training sessions can be provided on these protocols to ensure an understanding of the rationale and specific requirements of the protocol. These protocols are guided by recent research and can ensure that you are delivering the standard of care to your clients/patients. Having a suicide protocol in place can also help protect against liability. Cost: $650 for a 30 minute consultation, basic suicide protocol template (4 pages single spaced), and 1 hour training for up to 3 clinicians. 
• Suicide prevention, stigma reduction, or crisis consultation (non-mental health organizations). Dr. Lehmann can provide consultation for employers, non-profits, schools, churches, and other organizations. Consultation can address development of protocols related to suicide prevention or suicide postvention. Consultation can also involve crisis response to aid in coping with bereavement and prevent suicide contagion. Please inquire to determine cost. 
• Expert witness. Dr. Lehmann is available to be an expert witness for case review or testimony on legal matters related to suicide and substance use treatment.
